Albuquerque Business Education Compact (ABEC)

ABEC provides support to the Albuquerque Public School District leadership to support their
implementation of continuous quality improvement. ABEC is also bringing together
the strategic planners from APS, TVI, UNM, the City of Albuquerque and business
to facilitate and enhance the already existing collaboration among the groups.
American Productivity and Quality Center

For more than two decades the American Productivity & Quality Center has
remained steadfast in its mission of working with people and organizations around
the world to improve productivity and quality. A nonprofit organization supported
by nearly 500 companies, government organizations, and educational institutions.

Baldrige in Education Initiative (BiEIN)

New Mexico is one of six states chosen nationally to be a part of a national
effort sponsored by the National Alliance of Business and the American Productivity
and Quality Center. BiEIN's objective is to implement quality principles on

Baldrige in Education Web Site

The web-site delivers online, high-quality, practical continuous improvement resources and tools that are Baldrige-based and focused on helping educators “implement quality”. This web-site creates an on-going opportunity for educators to access and share what works in achieving greater improvement in student and school quality.

Governor's Business Executives for Education (GBEE's)

The mission of the GBEE's is to serve as the business voice in New
Mexico for continuous quality improvement New Mexico education system through
partnership of business, education and government to achieve best in class for
all students. The GBEE's created and continue to support Strengthening Quality
in Schools.

has a list of resources on implementation of continuous quality improvement
and its impact on student performance.
Quality New Mexico

Administers the New Mexico Quality awards by promoting training and recognizing
business, education, government and health care that strive for and achieve
performance excellence. Quality New Mexico provides and opportunity for schools
to conduct a self assessment using the Malcomb Baldrige Criteria for Performance
Excellence. Applicants receive a feedback report outlining their strengths and
opportunities for improvement. Quality New Mexico provides educators an opportunity
to attend Baldrige Examiners training at no cost.
Rio Grande Education Collaborative

The mission of the Rio Grande Educational Collaborative (RGEC) is to act as
a catalyst for building capacity and sustainability in communities by channeling
existing educational and community resources and enabling students to acquire
innovative, experiential and cross-cultural education. The Collaborative's focus
is the Rio Grande Cluster. One of the Rio Grande Educational Collaborative's
goals is the full deployment of Baldrige principles through the Rio Grande Cluster.
Strengthening Quality in Schools (SQS)

Is an initiative by the Governor's Business Executives for Education. The mission
of Strengthening Quality in Schools is to assist the school system in assessing
its system through the use of Malcomb Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence
and improving education through the use of quality principals and tools. SQS
provides training and support, upon acceptance, for schools and school districts
who are interested in applying the continuous quality improvement to their system.
SQS also provides a series of training that are open to the public.
